Why Righteously?
Most salespeople work independently, at times autonomously. Unfortunately, this freedom also offers an opportunity to work unethically, without accountability for questionable behavior. I know that the overwhelmingly number of salespeople want to succeed righteously. However, life’s worries, the pursuit of riches, and desires for pleasure, often trample righteous tendencies. Satan also schemes, so that people follow him and forsake God. Far too many salespeople fall into sinful selling styles due to demonic influences or their own evil desires, especially during difficulties. Also, sales managers pressure or motivate sellers to use tactics and strategies that most would deem UNETHICAL.
However, as able minded individuals, we are all responsible for our own behavior. Consequently, how a salesperson behaves while interacting with a customer or a potential customer is ultimately their responsibility. All salespeople need the option of operating within a set of principles and processes that incorporate righteousness, as it maximizes their income and builds the best possible business relationships. This book gives salespeople that option. However, the primary reason for selling righteously directly relates to accountability.
The Bible's second book of Corinthians says that everyone must appear before the judgment seat of Christ to account for things done while in the body. Everyone needs their accountability appearance to reap heavenly rewards. It makes the reasons for "Selling Righteously" heavenly.
